These terms govern the use of the Talkle program and define the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between members (students) and operators.
Students must complete course registration through the Talkle website or designated registration links. Upon completion, system access instructions and learning resources will be provided.
The course period is considered from the registration date until one day before the same date of the following month.
Students can access all services including individually provided worksheets, AI learning system, live conversation sessions, and feedback reports on a monthly subscription basis.
Live conversation sessions consist of regular conversation sessions among designated circle members.
Sessions are operated in 1:1 format when possible, but may be automatically adjusted to 3-person format in the following situations:
When circle members are odd in number
When sudden absences occur in specific sessions
3-person conversations can provide opportunities for real group conversation training and do not affect feedback and report provision.
Response to sudden absences:
If session partner does not join at the designated time, wait for 3 minutes
Join another Talkle room (voice channel) where conversation is in progress for 3-person conversation
Explain the situation immediately upon joining and participate politely in the conversation
Existing conversation members warmly welcome new members and continue the conversation together
Prior absence notification:
Live conversation sessions are commitments with circle members
When unavoidably absent, notify at least 24 hours in advance through circle group chat or Talkle operations team (Discord, KakaoTalk, etc.)
Accumulated unnotified absences may result in restrictions on future circle composition
Live conversation session etiquette:
Participate with video on when possible (for conversation training including expressions and gestures)
Do not interrupt others' speech
Provide sincere reactions and listening
Prohibit aggressive expressions, rude language, political/religious/discriminatory remarks
Cooperate in creating considerate conversation and beneficial atmosphere
Live Sessions are core learning processes conducted at scheduled times with other students. To respect each other's time and effort, the following regulations are implemented.
Confirmation Check-in:
You must check the Discord channel announcement one day before the session (D-1).
If you plan to be absent, you must notify in advance through channel comments or new posts.
Cancellation/Absence Regulations (based on session start time):
Cancellation 12+ hours before: No penalty (but channel notification required)
Cancellation 12-2 hours before: 0.5 session participation restriction for next session (2 accumulations = 1 absence)
Cancellation within 2 hours or unexcused absence: 1 session participation restriction for next session
Tardiness Regulations:
Over 10 minutes late: Counted as attendance but 1 warning issued (3 warnings within 30 days = 1 session restriction)
Over 15 minutes late: Counted as absence
Minimum Participants and Alternative Procedures:
Sessions proceed with minimum 2 participants.
If only 1 person attends, session ends after 10-minute wait, and make-up session is separately arranged.
Exception Policy (Life Happens):
Once per quarter, unavoidable circumstances like illness or accidents are exempted without proof (trust-based).
However, we recommend briefly informing the Discord channel of the situation if possible.
This policy is established to protect the learning atmosphere and partners' learning opportunities from unnotified absences. Students' small advance notifications and consideration protect the entire circle's immersion and growth.
Weekly worksheets and AI learning missions provided from the 1st to the last day of each month can be completed optionally, but special rewards are provided when all missions are completed.
Students who complete all missions for the month can submit an application by the 5th of the following month and receive a 2-week extension of their registration period after review.
The extension is granted after verifying learning participation records and may be rejected for false submissions or excessive omissions.
Full refunds are possible within 7 days of course registration and without participating in any live conversation sessions.
If you have participated in one or more live conversation sessions, or if more than 8 days have passed since registration, refunds proceed according to the following criteria:
Monthly course: Daily calculation of remaining period with 10% penalty deduction
Long-term registration (3+ months): Convert months used until course end to regular price basis, deduct 10% penalty from remaining amount for refund
For students who received long-term registration discount benefits and terminate mid-course, discounted amounts are retroactively applied at regular price basis and deducted.
Talkle includes AI-based worksheets, 1:1 live conversations, weekly missions, and customized feedback. Some components, schedules, prices, and content may change after prior notice as needed for operations.
Updates and curriculum enhancements for service improvement are made within ranges that do not disadvantage students and may be applied at any time.
Students' personal information is used only for Talkle service provision and operations, and is not provided to external parties without authorization.
Live conversation session recordings are used only for providing personalized feedback reports and are not shared with third parties without consent.
Content and recordings created by students are stored for a certain period (maximum 3 months) after course completion and then deleted.
These terms are based on Korean law, and in case of legal disputes, the competent court is Seoul Central District Court.
