TalkleEnglish speaking practice with real people
You do not need a lesson plan to have a conversation. Talkle gives you a short video chat with another person practicing English. Start free, speak imperfectly, and take one useful phrase into your next conversation. This is peer practice, not a paid lesson or a promise of a native speaker.
Free English conversation, in brief
Choose English, accept the first-time rules and pass the camera check to try one match as a guest. A verified account gives you five free match allocations per UTC day. Calls last up to eight minutes. The live queue looks for another person practicing the same language; a match is possible only when someone else is ready.
You both see live captions when transcription is available. With an account and enough speech, you can review private phrase suggestions based on your own words. Talkle does not record meetings. Explore language exchange or read the privacy details.
A first conversation without the pressure
Try one opening, one follow-up and one story of your own. Pauses are normal. Ask your partner to slow down or rephrase. Both of you are here to practice, not to grade each other.
| Moment | Something to say |
|---|---|
| Say hello | Hi! What has been the best part of your day? |
| Find common ground | What do you like doing when you have some free time? |
| Keep it going | How did you get into that? |
| Ask for help | Could you say that a little more slowly? |
| Find another way | I do not know the exact word, but it is something you use to... |
| Leave kindly | It was nice talking with you. Good luck with your practice! |
What the feedback can and cannot do
After a conversation, Talkle can suggest clearer versions of phrases you actually said. It uses the live transcript of your own speech, not your partner's words. Treat suggestions as practice ideas: speech recognition and AI can make mistakes. Short or quiet calls may not contain enough speech for feedback.
Bring a little curiosity, not private details
Food, hobbies, films and everyday routines make good starting points. You do not need to reveal your address, school, workplace, phone number or social accounts. You can leave immediately, even in the middle of a conversation.
A new community, built together
There may be a wait when nobody else is ready. Invite a friend or an existing language group to try the app at the same time. Everyone enters the same live queue; an invitation does not reserve or guarantee a particular partner.
