Talkle

Online language exchange with someone new

Talkle connects two people who want to practice the same language in a short video conversation. No appointment, lesson plan or perfect grammar required. Choose a language and join the live queue.

Find a conversation

Choose a language to practice

These are practice-language choices, not a promise that speakers are online. Partners may be fellow learners, not native speakers or teachers. Plus members can filter by approximate connection country, but a match is not guaranteed.

A simple rhythm for eight minutes

  1. Say hello and ask how your partner's day is going.
  2. Choose a shared topic: food, music, a film or something you are curious about.
  3. Take turns. Give your partner room to finish, and ask a follow-up.
  4. End kindly. Keep one useful phrase for the next conversation.

Try “What do you enjoy about it?” or “Could you say that another way?” You can leave at any time.

Is it free?

Yes. Free access includes five match allocations per UTC day, up to eight minutes each, captions when available and private language feedback when there is enough speech. Optional Talkle Plus adds unlimited match allocations, connection-country choice, mutual reconnect invitations and phrase downloads. Shared capacity and partner availability still apply; Plus does not give priority matching.

What if nobody is available?

Talkle is a new community. The queue only connects real people who are ready at the same time. There are no AI stand-ins or fabricated online counts. You can invite a language group to try at the same time, but the normal queue does not reserve a particular partner.

Respect comes first

Email verification, first-time consent and camera safety checks happen before matching. Sexual content, harassment and recording are not allowed. Leave, report and block are always free. Automated checks have limits, so safety is not guaranteed. Read our community rules.

Keep the phrases, not a recording

Talkle does not record meetings. Live transcription supports captions and private feedback based on your own words. Speech recognition and AI can make mistakes. Feedback is a practice aid, not a proficiency score. How your data is handled.
